Kerry Carlton-Senior began training in performing Arts at the tender age of 4 at the ADS Studios in Leeds. Primarily focusing her training in dance and Musical theatre she achieved Grade 8 in 4 disciplines and was the regional Modern dance champion and Miss Dance of Great Britain finalist at just 16 years of age. Kerry continued her training gaining a BTEC National, BA(Hons degree) and Post Graduate certificate in Education in performing Arts and Music before embarking on a highly successful
Kerry appeared in musicals 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and 'Hair' before singing professionally across the UK, where she claims she 'learnt her art' , working in the renowned tough working mens clubs and Butlins/Havens holiday camps. Kerry became known for her husky rocky vocal tones, often being compared to Cher,Bonnie Tyler and Alison Moyet for her deep but powerful sound.
Kerry was recruited as the lead singer in Steve Steinmans 'The MeatLoaf Story' theatre show and toured for 2 years in this production in various UK theatres including visits to Dubai and Bahrain.
It was here that Kerry met her husband, Curtis, who was the lead guitarist and they formed their own touring show 'Ghost' a tribute to legends of Rock. This highly successful show toured the world for 12 years and was established as the only female fronted full live tribute to legendary female vocalists of rock. www.queensofrock.co.uk
The show was rebranded in 2017 as 'Queens of Rock' and 2 additional female powerhouse vocalists joined the show. kerry now combined performing work in her 2 shows alongside running her own performing arts academy www.eastmidlandsperformingarts.com with examining, Training and lecturing roles in performing arts academies across the UK.
